Quake

i've never felt an earthquake before. This time it was really rocking when i felt it in Penang, Malaysia.

i was lying in bed about to drift to sleep at 12:05 am when i was feeling irritated by my rocking bed. i thought the person at the other room was kicking the wall because i could here soft boooming sounds. the bed was shaking. i stood up and saw water in my cup trembling.

My neighbours felt it too and came out of their house. i was feeling slightly dizzy by then. nothing happened after that.

it is sad that the people in Sumatra have to go through this. i hope there wont be anymore Tsunamis. but Beware the beach!

Gmail Basic HTML solution (for now!)

Gmail does not block Opera now but instead loads the Basic HTML view which turns many features off.

You can use this link to bypass the browser check to get the 'full Gmail'. Well, i hope Gmail allows us to access with Opera properly soon! ;)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The guys that made Morrowind are developing a new chapter to the Elder Scrolls, Oblivion. Woot! I've never finish the orignal Morrowind [the game is so long]. Take a look at those in game screenies. They look awesome. lots of detail on the armour and faces.

from those screenshots i'd know that my computer will definately fail to run this RPG. T_T

muvo2 hack

i recently bought a creative muvo2 1.5GB and is happy with it. It had all i wanted for a mp3 player minus the FM radio and voice recorder that requires purchasing another FM wired remote. : /

A Hitachi microdrive is in the muvo2 and it seems many have hacked (or cracked) open the muvo2 to get it.
christoff:
1. Hitachi 4GB MicroDrive retails 499$.
2. Muvo2 4GB Player retails 199$.
3. Muvo2 carries Hitachi MD.
4. MD can be used for Digicams (ie. Sony DSC-F828), PDA's, Notebooks, Ect.
5. Muvo2 can be revived with another MD or CF card (ie. 1GB MD or 512 CF card).
6. You end up with a working 4GB MD and an Mp3 player. Plus you save money. WIN WIN WIN situation.;)

lol. details here.

which MuVo?

ahhh, i've saved up and finally have enough to buy a flash drive player. :P Now, i'm wondering which to buy, MuVo slim or MuVo TX FM? these are mp3 players from Creative. both are about around the same price.

The thing is, the Slim has a rechargeable Li-Ion batt and the TX FM uses 1 AAA batt. i'll be spending a fortune buying AAA batts because of heavy usage. But the Slim needs a USB port to recharge.

any opinion would be appreciated. :)

Gmail Drive - easy backing up files

"GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

Ever since Google started to offer users a GMail e-mail account, which includes storage space of a 1000 megabytes, you have had plenty of storage space but not a lot to fill it up with. With GMail Drive you can easily copy files to your GMail account and retrieve them again.
When you create a new file using GMail Drive, it generates an e-mail and posts it to your account. The e-mail appears in your normal Inbox folder, and the file is attached as an e-mail attachment. GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the GMail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures. But basically GMail Drive acts as any other hard-drive installed on your computer.
You can copy files to and from the GMail Drive folder simply by using drag'n'drop like you're used to with the normal Explorer folders."

aint it kool?
